(Doesn't his expression kinda remind you of that Zoolander movie?)
Christmas 2007
Getting pictures wearing a santa hat just wasn't Devin's favorite thing this year.
Craig & Devin
Craig loves his little brother and Devin adores his big brother! Craig is 4 yrs. old here, Devin is 3 months.
3 months
This is the fabulous Devin Stuttler at 3 months.
Great-Grandpa "Papa"
Devin was named after his great-grandpa, Francis Bontrager. He is always there when we need him. We all love him very much!
Nana
One of Devin's favorite people...his Nana of course! This is Devin's grandmother, Tracy. If Nana isn't visiting our house, we are visiting hers. She plays a very important role in our lives and is always a huge help. The boys adore their Nana.
Aunt Amanda
Amanda is Tara's sister and Devin's Godmother. Amanda is always there to help with the boys & always shows that she cares. She is very important to us!
Mam
This is Devin's other grandmother, Nancy. The boys refer to her as "Mam". Mam always calls to check on the boys and likes to visit on the weekends. She is also known for spoiling them! Craig really enjoys going to Mam & Pap's house.
Aunt Bobby
This is Devin's Aunt Bobby. She loves the boys very much! She also always makes sure they have Gap clothes and Jordan shoes every Christmas. Bobby shows a lot of interest in the boys' lives.
Jessica
Holding Devin is Jessica Richardson, a very special person in our lives. She is Devin's other Godmother (we made our own rules and have 2 Godmothers for Devin). We're very fortunate to be close to such a wonderful person. We consider the Richardson family part of our family.
4 months
Devin Francis Stuttler age 4 months.
3/7/08 After Cath procedure
Devin was pretty swollen, his right leg was very purple from where they went in(you can't really tell much in the pic), and he was having several episodes with his heart rate dropping drastically. For a while after this procedure we had to keep a close eye on him. We didn't realize how sick little Devin's heart was. We're so used to him bouncing back so quickly, when this happened and we saw how long it took for him to recover it was a reality check for both Alan and myself.
Intubated in the hospital 3/11/08
Still swollen, Devin fights to recover. It never gets any easier seeing your baby like this.
3/13/08 Devin is extubated!
This pic shows him without the breathing tube. He had to pass 2 CPap trials to get extubated. What a champ! The tube shown is just room air. It was removed that evening because he didn't need it.
Mommy & Devin CICU 3/16/08
Devin is looking so much better! He just needed time to recover :) He ends up getting moved to a regular room the next day.
Daddy & the boys in a regular room
Here is Alan holding Devin with Craig. We were really happy to be out of CICU. It was just one step closer to home!
Devin's new addiction
While in the hospital, Devin grew very fond of TV. He now watches TV everyday. Notice the focus he has in this photo. Like father, like son...
3/19/08--Going home!!
Here we are preparing Devin for a car ride we had anticipated for almost two weeks. We couldn't wait to get home!!
Easter
Craig & Devin the night before Easter.
After the surgery
Shown here is Devin just after his stage 2 open heart surgery. He is quite swollen, intubated and has a chest tube for drainage. The next day, the swelling got worse but went down within 2 days.
Extubated!
Devin gets his breathing tube out just 2 days after surgery!
Lookin good :)
Still in CICU, Devin recovers like the little fighter he is! No smiles yet at this point but he looks awesome for what he's been through.
Mommy & her boys
Here we are in a regular room finally able to hold our precious baby boy!
Back to normal
Isn't he so cute?! Just 1 week after surgery, Devin is able to act and look like normal. Amazing how fast our little guy recovered!
(: ALL SMILES :)
The day before we were released, Devin gave us quite a few smiles and a giggle for his Papa!
Dinner Time!
Dinner time is also play time, right? Devin is 6 1/2 mos in this pic.
One of Devin's favorite people when we visit Dr. Ro
This is Lindsay with Devin. She does his EKG at our cardiologist appts with Dr. Ro. She also visited him a few times while he was in the hospital for his 2nd phase open heart surgery.
